Can the hormonal IUD cause dryness and weight gain?

I have pain during sexual relations (dryness) and I would like not to gain weight like when I take contraceptive pills.

A recent review reported that there is no causal link between taking a contraceptive and weight gain. In some cases, contraceptives may cause minimal water retention, but no significant weight gain. This also applies to IUDs with hormones.
