I suspect that I have thrush on my nipples. Can I try Canesten cream before going to the doctor?

Part of the nipple aureole is whiter and itchy. For my first daughter, nystatin didn't really work to treat her thrush. A pharmacist suggested Canesten cream, which has been very effective. Since my next doctor's appointment is only October 22, would it be wise to try the same option in the meantime? The itching bothers me and I am prone to a lot of eczema and I want to avoid it in this area while breastfeeding.

Good evening ma'am,
Yes, good idea!
Did you also treat your child's mouth the first time?

At my first, only his mouth was affected it would seem. And we treated him with Canesten since the Nystatin hadn't worked.
