What can I do to relieve her of these symptoms? Ease the flu a little because it is painful to see.

My 3 year old daughter has the flu. She has a fever and coughs non-stop. She has been like this for 2 days. She has been drinking a smoothie all day and a few sips of water. Even if I want to force her, it doesn't work. I give her tempra but it's not a big improvement.

Hello,
Has she had a fever for 2 days?
Why do you give tempra?
Does she have a runny and congested nose? If so, do you do the saline cleansing?

Thank you for these articles. The fever has been there for 2 days, that's why I give him tempra. His nose is running too, I try to clean it with saline solution but it is the crisis. It's really cough that worries me. She wants to sleep ++ but she wakes up constantly because of the cough which disturbs her a lot

The goal of tempra is to make the child comfortable, not to bring down the fever at all costs. Fever is a natural defense of the body.
Perhaps she is coughing because of the runny nose.
Does she seem dehydrated? Offer her liquids she likes, popsicles, etc.
If you are concerned, don't hesitate to call 811.

Ok thanks! I give her some juice diluted with water. That's all she wants to drink, but I don't think she's urinating enough. So for the cough, it might help if I force her to do the saline? In the end, I just want her to feel good.
