I have a hacking cough with yellow grachat. When I breathe through my mouth, my lungs make noise. Considering that I am asthmatic I take symbicort 6-8 times a day, and I feel no relief. I have a slight fever between 38 and 39. The symptoms started 5 days ago. Since today I have a bit of a stuffy nose. I tried to take some cough syrup with DM in it, without success (it works for 1h, but no more). I also take advil/tylenol for the temperature. The fever goes away and comes back for 4 days.

Good morning, ma'am, Do you have any other symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose, even a little? How many days have you had the fever? Have you tried anything other than Symbicort? Thank you for the information. First of all, if you have had a fever for 72 hours or more, this is an indication to seek medical attention as soon as possible. It is not recommended to alternate or combine Tylenol and Advil for fever as one should be sufficient. If it is not, it indicates a problem. Aside from your inhaler, I suggest nasal hygiene with saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime, and drinking plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference, while waiting to consult.
