It is possible to give Advil if your child is not allergic in order to reduce the inflammation.
For Tylenol, what is the dose you give him? If you give me his weight and the concentration of your syrup, I can calculate if the dose is optimal!

active ingredient:
(per 1ml dose) acetaminophen 80mg
This is what it says on my bottle! This is the infant tynelol.
Thanks

You can give him 1.7ml every 4 to 6 hours if needed (max 5 doses per day). If you decide to use Advil, the dose will also have to be calculated!
