Is it normal for it to come out of his eyes? Should I stop the sinus rinse?

Hello, last Saturday my son started to have red eyes and when he woke up from his nap, his eyes were stuck, a yellowish liquid had drained from his eyes. We were advised to do a lot of sinus rinses to help before getting some eye drops. My son has not had an eye surgery since. Today, I did the nasal cleansing again since he still has a little cold, but the morsel is not coming out of his nose, but out of his eyes. Is this normal? Should I continue or stop?

Hello,
The sinuses and the eyes communicate via the tear duct. The liquid in the Sinus Rinse can therefore flow out partly through the eyes if strong pressure is used.
To avoid this phenomenon, the pressure on the bottle should be reduced when rinsing
This is not dangerous, but it can be unpleasant. You can continue with less force.
Have a nice day!
