I have a new type of contraceptive pill and in 8 months my body has not gotten used to it. Can the pharmacist prescribe me another one?

I was on one kind of pill for 5 years and everything was fine but it was discontinued so he prescribed me a pill that was similar to it but I am still out of balance in my cycle

Hello,
Yes, the pharmacist will be able to quickly inform the doctor of this problem and change your pill to another. Often, the problem is that some pills contain slightly too little hormone, resulting in spotting (light bleeding while taking the pill and between regular periods).
Are you experiencing spotting? Is there anything else that makes you think your cycle is out of whack?

I often have spotting and my period starts whenever I take my pill. Example I started a new pack and after 10 pills ( 10 days) I started to menstruate but I just had it, it often lasts 5-6 days more. In 8 months I think it's only been 2 months since I had a normal cycle. I don't have a family doctor anymore and the urinary tract could take a long time, that's why I waited so long, but now I'm tired. ( I'm not pregnant I've taken several pregnancy tests) I'm going to go see my pharmacy in that case. Thank you so much 😁

You are right to be fed up 😊.
Your pharmacist may have a little more difficulty getting your pill changed considering you no longer have a family doctor, but he or she should be able to accommodate you.
Have a good day and see you soon,
