Is guaifenesin syrup effective for coughs?

Hello,
I have had a wet cough with white mucus for 6 days. I am also doing salinex treatment, because of nasal congestion and back of throat flow.

It is unlikely that this syrup will work for you. Nasal hygiene with saline solution is the best treatment
If your symptoms are secondary to seasonal allergies, using an anti-histamine such as Aerius or Claritin may be more beneficial than the syrup. Just confirm with your pharmacist if this product is safe for you
