Hello, I am currently taking biaxin antibiotics to treat a bacterial sinusitis. After how many days will the medication take full effect because for the moment I am better but I still blow my nose yellow all day long with a lot of secretions to blow despite the fact that I still have 4-6 sinus rinses. My ears are still blocked. Is there a medication to help unclog my ears that is compatible with a 1st trimester pregnancy? Thank you

In general, it takes 48 to 72 hours for the antibiotic to start working You did well with the nasal hygiene, but if your ear is completely blocked, I suggest suspending it for now. Xylometazoline nasal decongestant (check with your pharmacist for the ingredient) can be used during pregnancy for up to 3 to 5 days.
