Thanks for the feedback.
The Anusol PLUS ointment can help relieve pain and can be used both outside and in. I suggest using it at least twice daily and after every bowel movement.
Here are a few measures to help promote and speed up healing:
  • Avoid straining if you have difficulty evacuating. If that is a problem for you, I encourage you to drink lots of fluids and increase your fiber intake (fruits & veggies, whole wheats like brown bread or brown rice, oatmeal, enriched cereal, etc.) in order to soften your stool.
  • If you have to strain: stop, get up, and try again later
  • Try keeping the same bowel movement schedule. Go as soon as you feel you have to, as keeping it in will only harden the stools.
  • Get up from the toilet as soon as you finish: some people read the paper or their phones while seated on the toilet, but this position can aggravate the situation. As soon as your bowel movement is finished, clean up and get up.
  • Avoid wiping too rigourously. This can increase the risk of bleeding. If needed, use a moist towel or a bidet.
If the situation persists over 2 weeks or doesn't improve, please see a doctor.
Kind regards
