I am 38 years old, how do I know if I have pre-menopause?

Generally speaking, the signs and symptoms of pre-menopause include

Irregular menstrual cycles, hot flashes, possibly with sleep and/or mood disturbances, changes in libido levels, urinary and vaginal problems such as dryness, irritation during sex, to name a few.

Please note that this is not a diagnosis, and that only a medical evaluation can help clarify the situation. If your symptoms persist for 3 months or more, or if the bleeding is not light or persists for more than a week, you should consult a physician as a precaution.
