What can I take for intense sore throat and ear pain?

Very intense sore throat and pain in both ears. Difficulty to swallow or speak Should I consult a doctor? What can I take to reduce the symptoms? Covid test is negative. i also have sensitive and swollen lymph nodes. Thank you!

Hello, sorry to read about your troubles!! Tylenol is your best option for pain relief. If you are not pregnant or trying to become pregnant and have no other contraindications (your pharmacist will be able to confirm it with you), Advil can be taken, if you are able to eat. You can also use lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend for a local relief. I suggest drinking lots of fluids, cold or warm at your preference. If the pain persists for more than a week or gets worse, you'll have to consult a doctor. Have another COVID test done in 2 to 3 days.
