Would it be possible to have a medication to alleviate my cough?

Hello, for almost two weeks now, I have had a bad flu. My symptoms have diminished since then, but my cough persists. I can be coughing for several minutes.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
The cough is often the last symptom to disappear even several weeks after the episode has healed.
The best treatment remains nasal hygiene with saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse which can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. It's a little uncomfortable but works extremely well to keep secretions from running down the throat, which often causes coughing.
I also suggest drinking lots of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference, and/or a teaspoon of honey.
You should notice a gradual improvement every 1 to 2 days. If the cough persists for more than 4 weeks without improvement, you should consult a doctor as a precaution.
Sincerely,
