Would it be better to consult? Or should I continue the tylenols/advil at 4 o'clock to relieve the fever?

Hello, 3 days ago my 2 year old child had a fever for 1 day and a half 39.2. After that everything went back to normal. After 1 ½ days of being well, he had a temperature rise again. Note that he has a cold for 2 months and had the covid two weeks ago. He still coughs hollowly but doesn't seem to have any kind of ailment, could it be bacterial?

Hello, ma'am,
For now, you can continue Tylenol or Advil (not both) as needed if your child has a fever. It is suggested that you consult a doctor if the fever persists for 72 hours or if his general condition deteriorates.
Otherwise, I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse if not already done, which you can do as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
Also encourage your child to drink often.
I hope I've been helpful, I'm still available if you have any other questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, Pharmacist
