For the past 3 weeks, I have lost the feeling in the tip of my big toe. Today I notice that I am losing my nail. Should I be worried?

Good morning, ma'am,
This is definitely a little weird. Did you bump your foot or drop an object on your foot? Is the sensation elsewhere on the foot or elsewhere on the body? Is this loss of sensation constant whether you are sitting or standing?
Also, I would like to know if you are taking any medication or have a specific health condition?
Answers to these questions will help me to better guide you.
See you soon

Hello to you,
No, I did not stub my foot. The sensation is numb, even tingling sensation only on the tip of my big toe of the left foot. I do not feel this sensation anywhere else on my body. This sensation is constant, no matter my position or what I do
Also, I am not taking any medication and I do not have any particular health condition
I hope that my answers to your questions have helped you
Thank you very much

Hello again ma'am,
Thank you for your answers. It is indeed strange, but it seems to me like a problem related to a nerve that could be affected... Normally a nerve damage can cause numbness, tingling, burning or pain.
Unless it's causing you difficulty walking it's not an emergency but I think it would be good to see a doctor. It could be a pinched nerve in the foot, due to an injury of some kind or an inflammation... In short, it's worth seeing the doctor if it doesn't get better =)
Hopefully this answers your questions. Don't hesitate if you have other questions.
