Hello ma'am,
Did the professional who performed the test inform you of what you might have? Have you received or tried anything for it?
Are you currently taking any medications? Are you pregnant or trying to become pregnant, and do you have any allergies?

Hello
Thank you for answering my message.
The doctor said it was viral and that I had to wait... take advil, Tylenol... herbal tea.
Not pregnant, not trying to be, no allergy, not taking any medication.
Thank you

Thanks for the information!
Indeed, Tylenol and Advil are the first-line treatments for this. Lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend can provide local relief from throat irritation, and I encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference. It may take 5-7 days to improve in the case of a viral infection.
If the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement, you will need to re-consult as a precaution.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry to read this, but if your symptoms have persisted for 3 weeks with no change or improvement, you should consult again to reassess the situation and not delay management, if necessary.

Thank you

I understand, the appointment/availability system is very arduous these days, but if your situation requires a medical evaluation, you will need to see a doctor.
I wish you a speedy recovery!
