After how many weeks should I have a lipid test to check the effectiveness of Ezetimibe?

Hello, I have hypercholesterolemia which has led to heart problems. I have to keep my LDL below 2. Lately, this level has increased during my last two lipid tests ( 2.2 and 2.5 ). No changes in my lifestyle and I have been taking Rosuvastatin 40 mg die for over 20 years. My cardiologist added Ezetimibe 10 mg die.

Hello,

It is necessary to wait a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks before redoing a lipidic assessment and to see the effectiveness of ezetimibe (Ezetrol)
