Hello, For about a week now, I have been experiencing vomiting and nausea as well as dizziness. What can I do?

I changed my contraceptive pill about 2 months ago, and since then, I have not been in great shape. I decided to give myself 3 months to adapt to this new medication. (Yasmine -> Marvelon) I don't know if this could be related to my current situation. Finally, I am taking Gravols so that the heartache and nausea will diminish. But I keep throwing up, it doesn't go away. If by the end of the week I see that there is no change I will go see my doctor, but until then what can I do/take? Thank you

Good evening,
Birth control pills are often known to cause nausea, but less often vomiting and dizziness. It would not be impossible that the transition from Yasmin to Marvelon contributed to your symptoms, but it would be surprising given their intensity and duration... Since you have had these symptoms for almost 2 months without any improvement, it is possible that you are not tolerating Marvelon
To relieve your symptoms, Gravol is the medication to take... You can use tablets or suppositories if you cannot hold back tablets because of vomiting. Otherwise, there is also Diclectin which is a medication used to soothe nausea but more specifically related to pregnancy... To this effect, without wanting to seem insensitive, have you done a pregnancy test?
Otherwise, if a link with the contraceptive pill is assumed, you could perhaps try to stop it and validate if stopping the Marvelon would then bring an end to the symptoms. In any case, I think it would be wise to make an appointment with your doctor to properly assess your situation.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

I took a pregnancy test for it and it was negative
I had taken the Marvelon birth control pill in the past and everything went well
I think there might be a stress factor that could be at play. I've just started college and a new job, so I'm a little nervous and it could be causing me these vomiting problems.
Anyway, thank you for your response! It is appreciated.

Hello,
Indeed, stress, anxiety and/or nervousness can be quite significant disruptive elements that could indeed unbalance your hormonal balance and cause the symptoms you mention. Moreover, I have observed women for whom a contraceptive pill had worked before, but did not work anymore when they started it again later; it is not frequent, but it happens..
Gravol remains the best and only over-the-counter medication available to reduce vomiting. As mentioned above, use suppositories if you can't swallow tablets (it takes at least 30 minutes for a tablet to be absorbed by the body). If nausea and vomiting persist despite taking Gravol, you should consult your doctor. Also, make sure you are well hydrated with a rehydration solution (Pedialyte, Gastrolyte... Gatorade at worst), as vomiting can lead to fluid loss and therefore dehydration.
Please keep me informed.
Sincerely,
