How is rosacea treated? Is a prescription required?

I have rosacea. I haven't had an official diagnosis. My mother has been diagnosed and the symptoms are the same. Since it's hard to get to a doctor these days and my problem doesn't seem urgent, I don't plan to go to a doctor. I haven't tried anything yet. I am not taking any other Rx. No allergies, intolerances. No pregnancy or breastfeeding. Thank you for your help!

Non-pharmacological measures to prevent flare-ups are used first, such as protect the skin from the sun at all times Avoiding irritating products such as perfumed creams and soaps as well as certain make-up Use a moisturizer without perfume Avoid certain hot drinks and hot baths, including spas Avoiding triggers such as anxiety or certain foods (identified with a diary).
