Hello madam, in order to better understand your needs, would it be possible to know if you have been diagnosed with rosacea?
If so, have you tried anything for this problem?
Are you currently taking any other medications?
Do you have any allergies or intolerances, are you pregnant or trying to become pregnant, or are you breastfeeding?
Thank you for your time!

I haven't had an official diagnosis. My mother has been diagnosed and the symptoms are the same. Since it's hard to get to a doctor these days and my problem doesn't seem urgent, I don't plan to go to a doctor. I haven't tried anything yet. I am not taking any other Rx. No allergies, intolerances. No pregnancy or breastfeeding. Thank you for your help!

Thank you for the information!
Rosacea cannot be cured, treatments are used to control the symptoms. Non-pharmacological measures to prevent flare-ups are used first, such as
  • protect the skin from the sun at all times
  • Avoiding irritating products such as perfumed creams and soaps as well as certain make-up
  • Use a moisturizer without perfume
  • Avoid certain hot drinks and hot baths, including spas
  • Avoiding triggers such as anxiety or certain foods (identified with a diary).
Some products can be prescribed for symptom control but require medical evaluation.
I hope I have been helpful, I remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
