Can I take sandoz pantoprazole 40mg if I am pregnant?

Hello,
Yes, Pantoprazole can be used during pregnancy but it is not the #1 choice of treatment. In fact, there are other stomach medications for which we have more data during pregnancy such as Omeprazole (Losec) or Ranitidine (Zantac).
You can discuss this with your pharmacist who can contact your doctor to change it or even serve it to you without a prescription.
In the meantime, if the pain is occasional (3 times a week or less), I would suggest taking an antacid such as Tums which are safe during pregnancy. If it's more frequent or if Tums don't work, you could take Pantoprazole by tomorrow, or you could talk to the pharmacist.
Also be careful with caffeine, soda, spicy or acidic foods (tomato) which can exacerbate symptoms.
Finally, if you have weight loss, difficulty eating, pain when swallowing or blood in the stool, it would be safer to consult your doctor.
