Hello. I have episodes of diarrhea depending on my menstrual cycle. My doctor recommended Metamucil powder. The amount of water depends on whether it is diarrhea or constipation.

Hello,
Indeed, Metamucil can help with either constipation or diarrhea. Since you are taking it for diarrhea, you can take 1 to 2 teaspoons of Metamucil powder with 100-150 mL of water 1 to 3 times a day. The dosage may vary depending on your response to the medication, so it is possible to adjust the amount of water depending on the quality of your stool.
I look forward to hearing from you,
