Is it normal to stop bleeding more than 4 months after stopping birth control?

I stopped using my ring (Nuvaring) several months ago. At the beginning, I had my bleeding 1 month later, then the 2nd time it was 2 months later and now it's been more than 4 months I haven't had any loss or bleeding... I would like to get pregnant in the near future though.

Hello, thank you for your question!
For some people, it can take 3 to 6 months to return to a regular cycle after stopping their contraceptive
Do you have regular periods before you start birth control?

Thank you for your answer!
I started birth control when I was 16, but before that, I could be in my week once every 2-3 months. However, this is the first time it has been that long (over 4 months)..

Thanks for the feedback!
Within a 6 month period, we only suggest waiting. If it is longer than that, you will need to see a doctor for a medical evaluation, just to be safe.
