My 4 week old baby has a very smelly ear. It doesn't seem to hurt when I press behind his ear and pull on his earlobe. What could it be? Should I clean his ear?

Hello, thank you for your question!

No cleaning should be done other than on the surface of the ear. However, the bad odor should be evaluated by a doctor, just to be on the safe side, because sometimes there can be an infection without any other symptoms like fever or pain
