What can I do to reduce my baby's rash?

My 8 month old baby has had a red bottom for 1 week. I have been applying diaper cream (Zincofac - 40% zinc) and basic hygiene measures (diaper change at most 2 hours, cleaning with wet cloth, etc.), but the redness with small pimples persists and spreads and seems to itch. Baby has no known allergies or health problems.

You have done well with the measures described
In some cases, Coloplast Triad hydrophilic cream can be used instead
That being said, if you are using wet wipes, I would suggest patting lightly with a dry towel before putting on the diaper.
If this does not help or gets worse, I suggest seeing a doctor, just to be safe.
