Is it normal that there is still redness around a new piercing in the ear 1.5 weeks later?

Hello, we had my 15 months old daughter's ears pierced 1 week and a half ago and there is still a redness at the level of the piercing in spite of the cleaning twice a day, is it normal? Thanks a lot :)

Hello, here are some signs of infection : -redness -heat -pain -discharge -foul smell Usually, the redness should dissipate after 1 week. I advise you to continue to wash well with soap and water (you should continue for 2-3 weeks after the piercing). If you have any doubts, you can still consult your pharmacist to see if he/she can recommend an antibiotic cream to avoid an infection. I hope this answers your question!
