Is there a health risk to taking an anti-inflammatory drug long-term?

Hello, following an X-ray recently, I was diagnosed with cervical pain and arthritis. The doctor prescribed me a muscle relaxant: APO CYCLOBENZAPRINE, 10 MG a tablet at bedtime which is not convenient for me because too many side effects during the day. I currently take 1 tablet of Naproxen 500 mg. morning and evening preceded by a tablet of MINT PANTOPRAZOLE, 40 MG. I have very good results without side effects and the pain has disappeared, but when I stop the treatment the pain returns.

Hello Sir,
Some people need to take anti-inflammatory drugs more or less chronically. In the short and long term, this class of medication can cause undesirable effects such as increased blood pressure, gastric irritation or ulcers, and impairment of renal function in some people. The important thing is to have proper monitoring of the therapy and your condition. This depends on each individual, their history and health conditions. That being said, for a personalized response to your condition and needs, I suggest that you discuss this with your pharmacist who can follow up at regular intervals
If this is not possible for your pharmacist, he/she will have to refer you to a colleague who will be able to do so.
I hope this has been helpful and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!
