Hello Ma'am,
In fact, taking melatonin for an extended period of time is not recommended for young children.
How old is your child?

Thank you.
Be aware that there is too little data to recommend the use of melatonin before the age of 2, very very little data between the ages of 2 and 6, and some data in children 6 years and older (

).
In 4-year-olds, according to this literature, use of 2.5 to 3mg per day for more than 1 year does not appear to be related to a health problem.
