I have a cold and I am pregnant and I was wondering if I am allowed to put vicks on my forehead and neck and if I can smell it?

Vicks is not recommended during pregnancy. The best treatment is nasal hygiene with saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse which can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. If you have a sore throat, I suggest Tylenol and lozenges such as Halls or Fisherman's Friend, and I encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot as you prefer.

If your symptoms persist for more than a week without improvement, you should see a doctor as a precaution. I will be available if you have any further questions!
