Is it a return of menstruation or lochia? Should I be more worried or should I wait a few days to see what happens?

Hi, I gave birth by c-section on May 7, so 6 weeks ago, and I am breastfeeding exclusively. I thought that the lochia had stopped after about the 4th week. However, I have started bleeding clear red again in the last 2 days. I have mild abdominal pain that is similar to menstrual pain. I started back on the generic Micronor contraceptive 7 days ago. My postpartum follow-up appointment is scheduled for June 30. I just saw the response sorry for the delay. The bleeding seems to have pretty much stopped today. The color still remained blood red. I was wondering if this could be related to starting the pill. I have always had an irregular cycle and very heavy periods, so probably even worse after giving birth. However since I'm breastfeeding, I thought I wouldn't have a period return for quite some time like after my first pregnancy.... I will check with my gynecologist next Wednesday unless you advise otherwise.

Hello Ma'am, We'll wait until tomorrow night before initiating any steps to see a doctor. Given that you do not have a fever and the bleeding is relatively limited, there is no need to seek prompt medical attention at this time. Was the bleeding still present today? Have they turned brown? A meeting with the gynecologist next Wednesday makes sense to me if the bleeding has been less intense recently. In my opinion, the pill is unlikely to be related :)
