My period is 7 days late (but my pregnancy test is negative). I am usually quite regular. Why is this?

I almost always have a 32 day cycle. What could be the cause of this? Can I be pregnant despite the negative tests? Also, how do I calculate my next ovulation period? Thank you for your help!

Hello Ma'am,
This delay may indeed be caused by pregnancy (you will know in a few days by doing a pregnancy test again). In fact, if your period does not start, I recommend that you take a pregnancy test every 3 days or so, considering that the pregnancy hormone "grows" in the urine rapidly in early pregnancy (so a negative test on Monday could give way to a positive test on Thursday).
Of course, several other causes of delay are possible (including stress). In the latter case, it will be difficult to calculate the date of your next ovulation. In the context of trying to conceive, it is then recommended that you simply have sex randomly or every other day.
Happy day,
