Can my pharmacist give an antibiotic for an ear infection?

33-year-old woman2 years ago
My son had an ear infection 2 weeks ago. He still complains of pain in the same ear. It wakes him up at night. I'm pretty sure it's still there, having had it repeatedly when I was young, I know that one treatment never really worked.

Good morning, Mrs,
Unfortunately, your pharmacist cannot prescribe this type of treatment without a diagnosis, which is a procedure reserved for doctors. If your child's symptoms persist, you should consult a doctor.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
