What is the impact of postponing the vaccines 18 months (they were cancelled)?

hello, my daughter's 18 month immunization appointment has been cancelled due to the exceptional circumstances we are currently experiencing. I would like to know the impact of postponing the 18 month vaccines? Does she keep the immunity she had acquired with her previous vaccines, just long enough to allow for a postponement of the 2nd dose? How long can we really postpone a vaccine/recall? (I was also giving the Becksero, it would have been her 2nd booster dose, can there be an impact?

Hello,
I understand your concern regarding your daughter's immunization schedule. First, please know that the immunity from the vaccination already received is maintained and not affected by the delay of the 18 month vaccines. The 2, 4 and 12 month immunization schedule is maintained and prioritized during the pandemic

The vaccines received at 18 months of age are as follows
-Meningococcal group C (1st dose)
-Measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (2nd dose)
-Hepatitis A & B (1st dose)
Given the current measures of containment and social distancing, the risk of contracting one of these infections is very low. It is therefore important to respect the sanitary measures in place and to resume appointments as soon as the pandemic is over or when vaccination services are resumed

For Bexsero, some pharmacies have maintained their nurse service, so she could receive her 2nd dose as scheduled, while respecting hygiene and social distancing measures, and only if you do not have symptoms of cough, fever, etc. However, the 2nd dose of the vaccine could also be postponed, just like the 18-month vaccines.

Here is the notice from the Institut national de santé publique du Québec: https://www.inspq.qc.ca/sites/default/files/publications/avis-ciq-covid19-vaccination.pdf
Have a nice day,
