Should we put bridging stitches back on the wound even if it seems closed?

My son had an orchidopexy on Friday. 48 hours after the operation we had to remove the clear bandage that covers the stitches that we have to keep for 10 days. When we removed the clear bandage the stitches followed. Do we have to put the stitches back on the wound even if it seems closed to prevent it from reopening?

Hello madam, as a precautionary measure you should re-install the stitches. If in doubt, you can ask the post-op nurse to do so.
