Hello,
Varicose veins are veins that are no longer able to propel blood to the heart. They become swollen and form a prominent lump under the skin. Only a doctor could perform the treatment of varicose veins.
Varicosities, on the other hand, are small dilated or burst blood vessels under the skin. They do not form bumps, they are only visible (bluish). This is a sign that appears before varicose veins, when the person is often in a standing position for long periods of time. Some measures can be put in place to reduce their appearance:
  • Maintain a healthy weight;
  • Make physical activity regularly;
  • Surface the legs at the end of a long period standing without walking;
  • Avoid exposure to high temperatures (sauna, spa, etc...);
  • Wear compression stockings if you work in a standing position (e.g. cashier, waitress, etc...).
On the other hand, if the pain seems to be associated with the presence of these varicose veins, if it is accompanied by redness or heat, it will be important to be examined by a doctor quickly, within the next week. If the redness or pain increases, if your symptoms have come on suddenly, if your heart rate speeds up or you have difficulty breathing, you will need to see a doctor very quickly.
I hope these few tips help, please feel free to write back if needed,

In such a case, I invite you to consult via the Bonjour Santé platform or to go to the emergency room.
