After sex, I would have blood clots coming out of me. I also had pain in my lower abdomen. Should I be worried?

He was my boyfriend and it wasn't the first time we had had sex. The blood clots were about .05 cents to .25 cents in size. I was not on my period, nor was I supposed to be soon. I am taking the birth control patch and I was not late in changing it. This is the third time this has happened, after sex, but the stomach ache was much stronger the other times.

Good evening ma'am,
The situation you describe needs the attention of a physician. In fact, only doctors can provide a diagnosis and I think we need a clear diagnosis before we attempt a treatment option. Otherwise, we risk causing negative effects without the benefits of treatment, as well as causing a delay in addressing your current situation.
As the pandemic is causing great challenges in the doctor's office, perhaps you could try services such as Hello Health or Maple if your doctor cannot see you within two weeks.
I'm sorry I can't help you at this time.
Happy day,
Alexandre Chagnon, pharmacist
