Hello, for the last 2/3 days I have had a sore throat that won't go away and coughs a little. I have tried taking lozenges but nothing seems to work.

Hello Sir, I'm sorry to read about your troubles! Tylenol is still the best option for pain relief. Lozenges such as Halls or Fisherman's Friend can also provide local relief. If you have no contraindications to taking them, which your pharmacist can confirm beforehand, Advil can also help. If you have even the slightest bit of a stuffy or runny nose, nasal hygiene with a saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse is the best treatment to prevent secretions from running down your throat, which often causes coughing.
