Should I reconsult if my 22 month old is still febrile after 4 doses of antibiotics?

Child 22 months, fever since Wednesday. Diagnosis on Friday of otitis in the left ear + streptococcus (possible very probable) throat infection. On amoxil since Friday evening BID. Still febrile but fever less high and less often, eats better, no more throat pain. Should I reconsult, because he still has a fever?

Hello,
72 hours after starting an antibiotic, the child should no longer have a fever. In fact, if the fever persists beyond that time, it is possible that the infection is not well treated by the current antibiotic.
