9 month old baby with a fever for 5 days. When should I reconsult?

9 month old baby with a fever for 5 days. We consulted a doctor yesterday but we did not know anything more. She is not eating much. Yesterday she ate a little solid food for the first time since the fever started and it just came out exactly the same way it came in. Nothing altered or digested. I'm giving her acetaminophen suppositories for relief.

Hello,
It can be normal to have a loss of appetite during a fever. I would advise you to try giving her more liquid foods and in small portions according to her capacity. If she doesn't want it, I wouldn't push it. Light, dry clothing and a room temperature around 22°C can help relieve her fever. Continue with the acetaminophen, measuring her temperature and monitoring her symptoms.
Persistent fever and refusal to eat over the next few days warrants another visit to the doctor. If she has difficulty breathing, significant vomiting, or is less alert or more lethargic, an emergency visit is needed.
Hopefully this answers your question,

Okay, thank you. We received the results of her buccal culture today and it was negative. He told me to check again tomorrow if she still has a fever. Tonight she is still running a fever so I will make an appointment.
