A rectal enema does not usually have prolonged effects, but it may take a few days to return to regular bowel movements if the constipation (or its cause) is addressed.

Thank you, it was an oral enema of the pet lyte type
And the constipation came back the next day, but gas and minimal bowel movements were emitted. Should I go to the emergency room if I started eating solid meals again today. At the time the pey read to work.

If you have used the PegLyte, it is normal to have no or few stools the next day. It may take 3 to 5 days for regular bowel movements to return. I encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer, to help soften the new stool.

I have stools but like before taking the pey lite. That is to say solid but in very small quantity for some I eat, only the gas passes. I came back constipated after the first day. My habit is to be very regular in general
