I started taking the pill again this month. Is it normal to have spotting towards the end of the second week?

- This is the Marvelon 28 pill - Light spotting for now - I stopped taking the pill a year ago to get pregnant. I gave birth in February and I am not breastfeeding. - I started taking the pill before I got my period (extremely irregular cycle before my pregnancy from 20 to 70 days) - I am on day 73 of my cycle - I am not pregnant (this is impossible) I think this spotting is normal, but I still want to check. Also, if it is abnormal or needs special attention from me, I would like to know what to look for and what the warning signs are. Thanks a lot!

It was the next day. The spotting had stopped, but picked up again. It's gone from pink to orange. It's darker. So far, no traces in my underwear. Only on the toilet paper.
I dare to believe that my body wants to get rid of the blood stored up for too many weeks?

Good evening ma'am,
No, it's not necessarily because the body wants to get rid of the accumulated blood. But that doesn't change the fact that what you're describing right now is completely normal when restarting birth control pills.
The fact that the blood is getting darker is an indication that you're "on the end" of spotting. Only two to four more days and it should be over. In the meantime, continue with your pill like nothing happened!

Great! Thank you for your quick response! I'm not a regular pill user (I think it sounds hihi) and your response was able to demystify the situation. Have a great end of the day! :)
