What do you recommend we do, consult a pharmacist for drops or something else?

Hi, my 10 month old baby started daycare and developed conjunctivitis from a cold. It started Thursday in his left eye and now it's in both eyes since Saturday. He wakes up with dried green secretions stuck in his eyelashes, but has no secretions during his waking periods. He does not have red or swollen eyes. Since this morning I wake up with my left eye stuck with green secretions, slightly red eye and red eye and a stinging sensation. I also have the same cold that he had last week. Note that I still lighten up.

Good morning, madam,
I would like to reassure you that this is very common during the cold season. It is like a cold that has settled in the eye and spreads easily to the other eye
Like a cold, it should pass after 5 to 7 days
Clean the eyes with a damp towel in the morning, taking care not to reuse or share it.
No need for drops at this time, but if the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a doctor as a precaution.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
