Hello, if I get the vaccine for Covid, should I wait before trying to get pregnant?

And I know it's best to take both doses before getting pregnant, but is it better to take one than not at all. I don't want to wait several months before trying. Thank you.

Hello,
Currently, there are more benefits to receiving these vaccines during pregnancy than risks. If it can reassure you, the Canadian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends that pregnant women be vaccinated as a priority because COVID-19 is more harmful than the vaccine for pregnant women
So you can go ahead with your project without fear

Thank you for the answer. However, I think I saw that it was better to be vaccinated after the first trimester. I am wondering if I could have the vaccine next week and I am not pregnant at the moment. If I take it, do I have to wait a certain amount of time before trying it afterwards? And if I take the vaccine and I get pregnant, can I wait until the 3rd trimester before the second dose? Thank you very much. Or would it be better to only consider taking the vaccine after being pregnant and having passed the first trimester

I took the trouble to validate in the literature. From what I have seen, it says that vaccination is safe in all trimesters of pregnancy. It is suggested not to delay vaccination for a planned pregnancy. The balance of benefits outweighs the risks.

Thank you. So it is not necessary after the vaccine (first dose) to wait a certain time to get pregnant

Indeed, there is no need to wait

I just re-read the recommendations from the SOGC (Society of gynecology and obstetrics of Canada). They have published guidelines (which I am unfortunately unable to upload to the PDF application) that state that vaccines are strongly recommended and safe at all stages of pregnancy and regardless of the pregnancy. I thought you might find this information interesting
