My 7 month old daughter has difficulty breathing through her nose?

My 7 month old daughter has difficulty breathing through her nose. This is especially noticeable when she has a pacifier (choking noises and secretions) or at night (she can sometimes snore). Her nose doesn't run and doesn't seem obstructed, nothing comes out during hydrasence type washings. This problem has been happening on and off for several weeks. Her sleep is very difficult and she can be irritable. She has no flu/cold symptoms and no fever. I am looking for professional advice before a medical consultation.
