Can I get the COVID-19 vaccine if I am breastfeeding? My baby is almost 9 months old.

I do not take any medication other than Pregvit vitamins. I have occasional mild exertional asthma, but otherwise I have no risk factors. I am 28 years old.

Hello Ma'am,
The vaccine has not been studied in breastfeeding women. Yet the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada recommends that COVID-19 vaccines be offered to all women. In addition, it is also recommended for breastfeeding women according to the Quebec Immunization Protocol. There is no perceived associated risk in breastfeeding women who have received the vaccine. There is no need to stop breastfeeding if one receives the vaccine.
I hope I have answered your question,
Happy day,
