Is this an allergic reaction to Clavulin? Should I continue the treatment this morning or go back to my pharmacist?

Hello! While bathing my son last night, small red spots appeared on his stomach and back. He was treated with intravenous ceftriaxone from Thursday to Sunday, we are continuing a treatment of Clavulin at home from Monday to Wednesday (4,6ml 3x/day to treat a pneumonia). He already took Clavulin about three weeks ago (3.4ml 2x/day to treat ear infections).

Good morning, Mrs,
I strongly invite you to contact your pharmacist who will be in a better position to evaluate the situation and, if necessary, contact your doctor for possible alternatives if deemed necessary. As this is written, the doctor may ask to see him again to evaluate the hives and reassess the relevance of the treatment.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Hi Tom,
The pharmacist confirmed the allergic reaction, but suggested that we finish the treatment because of its short duration (beginning yesterday morning and ending tomorrow evening). Is it dangerous for the reaction to get worse if you continue?

Thanks for the feedback.
I cannot comment on my colleague's decision. I usually recommend that you see your doctor whenever possible to assess the situation.
If treatment is continued, your child will need to be monitored a little more closely. It is possible that the reaction could get worse, but again, it is impossible to determine beyond a shadow of a doubt if these spots are secondary to the treatment or if it is from another cause such as a virus. For this reason, it is suggested that you monitor your condition. If there are no other symptoms that could indicate a severe allergic reaction, we continue to monitor.
