How long does an allergic reaction last? What to do? When to consult?

29-year-old woman3 years ago
My 1 year old daughter has a big rash of pimples all over her body and face. Possible allergic reaction or childhood illness? She has not had a fever and no new foods... It's been almost 48 hours now, she's fine but it decreases during the day and increases after her naps or showers. .... What to do?

Hello, thank you for your question!
I am reassured that you report a good general condition for your child
An allergic reaction can take several days to completely dissipate, as long as you are no longer exposed to the allergen, whether it is topical (dust, soap, cream or other) or a food.
For the time being, use a fragrance-free soap such as Dove or other, and a fragrance-free moisturizer, to be applied several times a day
After the bath or shower, avoid rubbing the skin too vigorously, rather pat it lightly and then apply the moisturizer within 5 minutes of getting out of the bath.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to determine the cause or make a diagnosis. If you notice that the situation persists for more than 5 days or gets worse, you should consult a doctor, purely as a precaution
I hope this has been helpful to you, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
