Should I reconsult if my wound oozes a little yellow?

27-year-old woman3 years ago
On June 24, I had 5 stitches in the G ischio, the wound was beautiful (a little dried blood but nothing more). Yesterday (July 6), I had my stitches removed at the CLSC and the nurse put some stitches in the area (3). In the afternoon, I went climbing (in a very molo way). This morning I woke up and my wound is oozing a little yellow through the stitches. Should I see a doctor again? What are the signs and symptoms that require a re-consultation? Thank you

Hello,
It is quite possible to have a colored oozing or that your wound takes on different colors. This is part of the healing process. Signs of infection to watch for are
  • Increasing pain
  • Redness that spreads outside the wound
  • Swelling
Of course, if you are doing physical activity such as rock climbing, protect your wound with a bandage to prevent rubbing and contamination
