Hello Mrs
First and foremost, if you have not already done so, you will need to remove the piercing if you notice any signs of inflammation, including redness, pain, swelling. The area may not heal if the piercing remains in place. The piercing will need to be properly cleaned
For the ear, basic hygiene is usually sufficient: clean with clean water and mild soap 2 to 3 times a day. I suggest to stop using Polysporin because it can slow down the healing process.
If the swelling or pain persists after 1 week, or seems to increase, you should consult a doctor.
I hope this has been helpful to you and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
