Should children be treated for worms if they come in contact with a puppy that has worms?

Hi, me and my kids came in contact with a puppy this Friday. The puppy was treated today for worms (Ascaris). Do we need to be treated as well? My children have obviously been licked in the face by the dog.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question.

We only treat if there are symptoms, especially if the children complain of itching in the anus, especially at night. Otherwise, it is not necessary.
