Usually, this antibiotic is given twice a day (every 12 hours) as outlined on page 3 of the following document: https://www.inesss.qc.ca/fileadmin/doc/CDM/UsageOptimal/Guides-serieI/Guide-PharyngiteAmygdalite.pdf.

So contact your pharmacy to have the dosage reviewed.
